We had a beautiful sunny weekend across the Illawarra and it was the perfect time to dive beneath the ocean's surface and meet some of our local marine creatures. Murray L Parkinson jumped in at the Bass Point Gravel Loader in Shellharbour and captured this beautiful photo of a cuttlefish on a Sunday morning dive. Head to our ABC Illawarra Facebook page to see more of his awesome shots from the day.
I hope you got your lawns done and your washing dried this week because we're in for another stretch of rain.
In the news, it's been a heavy week for us having to report another drowning in our area. After last week's double drowning tragedy at Shellharbour, a man in his 20s died at Werri Beach on the weekend. We're also continuing to follow the Tahmoor Colliery job cuts by speaking to those directly affected.
Have a great week, and remember, if you have a story idea drop an email to 973@your.abc.net.au.
