It will be a massive weekend across the Limestone with election day polling sites swinging open their doors and thousands of people flocking to the South East Field Days at the sprawling site at Lucindale.

ABC South East SA breakfast radio presenter Liz Rymill and Country Hour host Selina Green will broadcast live at Yakka Park on Friday. From working dogs, the health of farmers and the latest in rural news, there will be a plethora of talking points.

And it has been a tragic week of news with three men losing their lives in a boating accident off the Beachport coastline. The incident has again sparked renewed calls for a marine service to be established.

And don’t forget to tune in or switch on your screens for the SA Votes – ABC Election Coverage. ABC South East SA reporters will be out chatting with candidates at Robe, Naracoorte and Mount Gambier on Saturday night.

The remnants of a 140-year-old historic flour mill will be demolished to make way for a housing development despite a regional community calling for the city's history to be preserved.

A triple fatal boating incident off South Australia's Limestone Coast has led to renewed calls for a volunteer marine rescue service in the region's south.

SA police say the alarm was raised on Sunday afternoon, when the three men did not return to shore at Beachport in the state's south-east. A local fisher said he tried to warn the men before they left that conditions were rough.

Federal MP Barnaby Joyce is predicting a big primary vote for One Nation at this Saturday's South Australian election, but lead candidate Cory Bernardi would not be drawn on how many lower house seats he hoped the party would win.

ABC News joined Nick McBride on the campaign trail in Lucindale, a small sheep and cattle farming town 345 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, where locals gathered at the footy oval for the annual show.

South Australia's second-largest city does not have an MP, but some say it has an incumbent.
