Lewis HS Principal Search Community Meeting

Good afternoon,

Since Principal Smith’s retirement in October 2025, Lewis HS has been without a permanent principal. I was fortunate to have been named the interim principal and to work with our staff, students, and families during this time.

FCPS is restarting the principal search now, and our interim assistant superintendent, Dr. Ivey, would like to hear directly from families about what they want in the next principal. She will be here today, March 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. She wants to hear directly from you. We hope to see you there! Thank you!

Sincerely,

Matthew A. Johnson, M.Ed., Ed.S.

Interim Principal

John R. Lewis High School
