No. Fuss. ‘Til Spring Break (apologies to the Beastie Boys)
Thank You, Thoreau!!

For all information related to the Thoreau Middle School PTA, please visit our website.

Our 2026 No Fuss Fundraising Amount is at $9500!

THANK YOU! The PTA raised a total of $9,535 through our No Fuss Fundraiser! We are just short of our $10,000 goal (and the opportunity to prank the principal) so we’re extending the drive this week. You can donate or join the PTA though the PTA store. If we hit the $10,000 goal we’ll still honor the final reward.

Money raised helps support the Principal's discretionary fund, teacher grants for classroom materials and extra programming, Crosstown Hoops, Spelling Bee, class parties, and more.

Donations are tax deductible.

Crosstown Hoops Tickets On Sale!

Crosstown Tix

Crosstown Hoops is on Thursday April 9th at Madison High School at 6PM. Doors will open at 5:30.

Thoreau and Kilmer have a set number of tickets to sell.  Please do not purchase any tickets from any link distributed by Kilmer.  Any Thoreau Community Members that purchase via Kilmer's link will have their tickets canceled.

Buy tickets here: https://crosstown-hoops-2026-event-sales.cheddarup.com

  • These tickets are only for Thoreau Families and any non-Thoreau tickets will be voided.
  • There is a 2 ticket limit per purchase. As this event is primarily for students and sells out every year, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets just for students unless your child is playing in the game. Drop-off is highly encouraged.
  • Tickets will be $5 (plus fees) each. When purchasing tickets, please be prepared to list the first name and last name of each person you are buying tickets for. We will use these names to check in individuals the day of the game along with the unique QR Codes that Cheddar Up will create for your tickets.  You may only purchase tickets for specifically identified individuals.  Tickets may not be transferred to others.

Calling all Volunteers!  Please sign up to support the event!  Thoreau is the HOME TEAM this year so we are responsible for all aspects of the event!  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0445ADAB2DA02-62801088-crosstown

Any questions about the event, please contact Alison McKee at alisonmckee0519@gmail.com.

Donate to Support Your Students!

We would appreciate a one-time donation of $50 per family, but are thrilled to receive any and all contributions. Donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of your contribution goes directly back to supporting our Thoreau Middle School students and staff.  Your donations will help the PTA support our community throughout the 2023-2024 school year.  Among other things, our Thoreau PTA:

  • Organizes appreciation events for our teachers and staff regularly, such as pies at Thanksgiving and cookies before Winter Break
  • Coordinates special events such as the 7th Grade Fall Social and 8th Grade End of Year Party
  • Grants financial support to teachers and staff for classroom or program needs
