In China, Gen Z’s social calendars are looking a little different than those of past generations. Many zoomers looking for ways to connect offline are embracing “coffee raves” – alcohol-free parties often held on Sunday mornings – over hitting nightclubs and nursing hangovers the next day. Think of them as the equivalent to run and supper clubs, pitched to zoomers who are really into music and wellness culture. The growing trend also dovetails with the younger generation’s skepticism toward alcohol.
