You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…
1.
Still trying to fill the Shane and Ilya-sized hole in your heart? (Same.) Prime Video recently dropped the trailer for Off Campus, a hockey romance adapted from Elle Kennedy’s wildly popular book series that’s basically Heated Rivalry meets Bridgerton meets 10 Things I Hate About You. The show doesn’t hit the ice (sorry, screen) until May, so you’ve got time to read the book season one is based on.
Chatter about Riz Ahmed landing the lead in an iconic film franchise sounds like a story plucked from the headlines — but it’s actually the plot of his new show, Bait. In the meta comedy (all six episodes available now), Ahmed plays Shah Latif, a struggling actor rumored to be the next James Bond. For four wild, surreal days, he experiences the full spectrum of overnight fame: industry perks, family drama, and increasingly absurd moments (including a severed pig head that’s more funny than it is disturbing). So, yeah, we’re taking the bait.

Got a trip coming up? Instead of spiraling over what to bring (again), give the viral sudoku packing method a go. Oh, and don’t worry, no puzzle solving required.
Happy (almost) weekend. Do I live alone (well, with two perfect cats) in a studio apartment? Yes. Does that stop me from possessing an Executive Costco membership? Absolutely not — which is how I ended up with these outrageously cute tote bags this week. In addition to finding nooks and crannies for the rest of my haul, here’s what I’ll get up to this weekend…
Watch this refreshingly original comedy special, which was sold out when I tried to see it in NYC. I’ll probably spend the rest of the evening trying to figure out how to become less “red” and more “purple.”
Binge the new season of Netflix’s Heartbreak High, an Australian drama I learned about via my best friend’s daughter (so you know it’s cool). Sure, it’s a teen soap, but it’s more fashionable, more queer, and more plain fun than the ones I grew up watching.
Swap the faithful Blundstone boots I’ve worn all winter for an equally walkable spring shoe. Topping my wish list? These viral sandals.
