Okay, fine.
We're launching our self-paced AI course sooner.
Over 1500 of you have filled out my various forms about AI courses since January.
Many of you have emailed independently, curious about how LYT is going to handle AI.
Last week's email on the 3 layers really got everyone interested to learn more.
So we're going to do our best to get you exactly what you need.
It's called...
"Linking Your AI"
Don't just learn about Al, teach it to learn about YOU.
On your terms.
Get a step-by-step course to build your own thinking partner with superpowers—future-proofed to work with any AI.
Most people are using AI.
But few people have trained AI on the notes & knowledge that actually matter to them.
In this course, you will link your thinking to any AI. On your terms.
*"On your terms" means making sure you have granular control over what AI has access to—and what it doesn't. It means you maintain your chosen level of privacy.
We open pre-sales on April 16th.
Join the waitlist and lock in founder’s pricing at $250 (before it becomes $500).
"Not more data, YOUR data"
Last September, hundreds of you attended our live session AI + PKM Thinkers Class.
There, we shared the counter-intuitive truth for how AI improves based on multiple research papers from the research division of Google.
It turns out, just making the AI models bigger no longer works. The gains have plateaued. That's why ChatGPT 4.5 bombed. It felt like a giant step...sideways.
It also marked a pivotal moment in AI development.
No longer would the size of the model be the prize of the model.
Increasingly, the AI models that we use are getting better not by adding more data, but by adding specific data sets. With only 0.2% of additional specific context added to a model, it performed 17% better!
On the football field, speed kills. On the field of ideas, context is king.
- The new reality with AI: It's not about more data, it's about better data.
- The new reality of using AI: It's not about more data, it's about YOUR data.
In fact, the model is no longer the prize.
AI models will become democratized.
Just like information.
So what can't be democratized?
Hard-earned meaning.
Your well-linked notes.
Your task list. Your calendar. Your emails.
In a nutshell, the stuff that is specific to you. The good stuff. Eu-stuff.
Something us PKM Nerds know—those of us who link our thinking—is that we enrich our minds when we cultivate our ideas, write notes in our words, and make connections between other notes. Our knowledge becomes rich. It's a goldmine. And it's the exact rich context you can use to train your AI to be more useful for you than AI is for the other 99.999% of the population using it.
Because they won't have what you have.
- An ideaverse (and bunch of linked notes that you've made).
- An AI manual (that tells any AI exactly how to interact with you and your notes).
- An empowered imagination (the new perspective you unlock with you actually have an AI thinking partner that can assist you in unexpected ways)
Imagination is the frontier. And your imagination gets unlocked when you train your AI to become a thinking partner.
Not a thought leader (that's you). Just a thinking partner.
Because both Linking Your Thinking and the new Linking Your AI have that avoidable word hiding smack dab in the middle.
YOU.
And you ain't going anywhere.
Birth your own AI thinking partner.
That's the basic premise.
There are plenty of ways to do AI incorrectly. (Don't be make AI slop.)
But you can also make AI come alive for you in ways most people haven't experienced.
And we at LYT find ourselves in a unique position.
For over six years, we've been advocating for the value of local files that you own. Now, with AI, it's even MORE important. More than ever before, we feel the urgent need to steward responsible use of AI with our PKM systems (ideaverses, vaults, etc).
That's why we have created the 14-lesson course "Linking Your AI." It's a game-changer at an inclusive price. You will get a step-by-step course to build your own thinking partner with superpowers—future-proofed to work with any AI.
You will leave with four things:
- A downloadable AI starter folder: A pre-built starter system that includes your me.md (the document that tells any AI who you are), your vault-map, and your skill-map. All ready to use on day one.
- Your "Me" Manual: A comprehensive, future-proof playbook you can hand to any AI so it immediately knows who you are, how you think, what you care about, and what you need. Write it once. Works with any AI tool, today and tomorrow.
- Your Personally-built AI Workflows: You will be actual, practical workflows around your actual work. The goal is that you build some processes that make you wonder how you ever worked without them.
- A Properly Permissioned AI: You’ll set up your AI to know exactly what it can see, and what it can’t. You will have full control over what your AI has access to, so nothing private is exposed.
All combined, you will have the playbook, the notes, and the manual to link your thinking to any AI—and you will have created workflows that immediately create real value for you.
If that sounds good to you, then start linking your AI.
Join the waitlist and lock in founder’s pricing at $250 (before it becomes $500).
You won't be able to purchase until specifically on Pre-sale Day on April 16th.
Idea Updates
Obsidian Web Clipper. How are you using it? I'm making a new YouTube video on it. Can't wait to share. But I'm still writing the script and I'm interested in how you're using it.
How AI affects your knowledge management. It allows you to call upon other personal knowledge bases ("folders") to help inform your personal ideaverse. This is exactly what we've already stress-tested and created for advanced users in the Linking Your AI course.

When X-Rays were for more than just medicine: How Soviet youth bootlegged Western rock music on discarded X-Rays. Read.
A CEO said a thing. This is a really good piece on journalism's problem taking CEO hype verbatim. It really captures a lot of reason some products get overhyped, even when they actually have practical useful applications once you understand how to use them (like through IDI).
Is it just me or is Netflix losing its luster? For me it has. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's something to do with having an algorithm that has over-optimized on itself. Like, we the audience can see right through the suggested programming. I feel like a cow being given feed. At least with Apple TV, the programming seems more intentional. I don't know.
Stay connected,
Nick

P.P.S... I love Delta Day so much, I have been looking for excuses to resurrect it. It's now our big April event in the Knowledge Accelerator (soon to be LYT Year). But I love it so much, I actually want to cordially invite you to join us for this day of BIG change.Join our 6-hour Delta Day. Make big change in a single day. It runs Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 from 8am to 2pm PT.
To respond to this newsletter, just hit reply. I love getting replies, and read all of them, but I have sadly come to the conclusion I can't realistically reply to most. Trust me, I hate this. But, well, Life puts limits on all of us. Thank you for your understanding. (And if you received this email from a friend, and would like to subscribe, please go here.)
