All five are scheduled to participate in a discussion and debate co-hosted by Sun political columnist Vaughn Palmer and Stuart McNish of Conversations Live, which will be live streamed Tuesday at 5 p.m. on vancouversun.com.
Join us to learn how the candidates differ on critical issues, ranging from UNDRIP and resource development to the economy.
The new leader chosen by party members in May will likely take the Conservatives into the next provincial election. |
The five candidates:
Iain Black, who served as a cabinet minister in Gordon Campbell’s B.C. Liberal government.
Caroline Elliott, who worked for Campbell in the Liberal government and received his endorsement and that of former Alberta premier Jason Kenney.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay, a longtime Conservative MP who lost re-election last year, who is also a lawyer.
Yuri Fulmer, the chancellor of Capilano University and the owner of several dozen A&W restaurants.
Peter Milobar, Kamloops Centre MLA and former Kamloops mayor, who is supported by several Conservative MLAs. Kind regards, Harold Munro Editor-in-Chief Vancouver Sun | The Province |
