You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…
1.
We won’t bore you with our questions about whether you’re seeing The Devil Wears Prada 2 since we already know the answer. So once you’ve polished off that “Butter Birkin,” here are a few ways to make it your entire personality: Grab a box of these deeply on-brand M&Ms and rewatch the nostalgic fashion-adjacent movie that just landed on Netflix, followed by The September Issue — the Anna Wintour doc that goes behind the scenes of Runway (sorry, Vogue). Want to go full Miranda Priestly? Save The First Monday in May for Sundaynight. It’ll hit different on the eve of, well, the first Monday in May.
If the thought of washing another dish makes you want to quit cooking entirely, good news: Paper plates have gotten a serious glow-up, and the designs are so stunning, you’ll genuinely forget they’re paper. Good luck bringing yourself to throw them away.

Kacey Musgraves just dropped a new album — and she’s going back to her roots…literally. Not only is Middle of Nowhere named after a sign in her hometown, but it also marks a return to a more country sound. Some highlights? “Dry Spell,” the album’s catchy, innuendo-filled single (it’s the first time we’ve ever heard “lonely” spelled this way); a cleverly titled duet with an old rival that puts their “grass-fed, grade A” beef to bed; and “I Believe in Ghosts,” which is about exactly what you think (no, not Casper). Giddy up.

Whether you’re a card-carrying member of theAll-Year Iced Coffee Army or just making the seasonal switch, you know how surprisingly tricky it is to make a good one at home. So let us present the best canned options, all of which will make you break up with your barista immediately. Your wallet thanks you in advance.
Happy (almost) weekend. My goal for the next couple of days? Make it out of my house, see my people, and get my life slightly together. Here’s how I’ll do that:
Tonight is family movie night, and we’re watching Netflix’s new animated film Swapped, starring Michael B. Jordan (sadly not in human form) and Juno Temple. It’s basically Freaky Friday meets cute woodland creatures — and, yes, that’s a real sentence.
I usually use my kid’s dance class as my admin hour, but this week, I’ll swap emails for Kin by Tayari Jones to prep for theSkimm’s live Off the Page book club event with the author on June 17. Haven’t RSVP’d? There’s still time to join (and get 15% off the book).
I’ll tackle a home clean-out. And by that, I mean half of a half of a room. I finally got these colorful hanging baskets for my entryway, and I’m ready to become a person who actually uses them.
On Sunday, I’ll give my best friend a hair clip my daughter and I made using this kit — a small, scrappy pre-Mother’s Day gift that says “I was thinking of you” without overthinking it.
