CodeBreakthrough - Caleb Curry

And something great is on the horizon.

I've been running CodeBreakthrough for many years, but just in the last 2 yrs took the business portion way more seriously when I left my software engineering job.

As an online business, content creator, and mentor, I've been using multiple platforms online to run my business. A few examples:

Course platforms, email platforms, analytics platforms, deadline platforms, automation and integration platforms, community platforms, and the list goes on...

This has created a very complex marketing structure. Things easily break, and I constantly have to make sure things are running.

That's not the worst of the problems...as engineers we are used to complex systems. The real problem is the cost. NOT just direct dollar cost, but the true cost from lost opportunity and time invested in building and upkeeping these systems.

What do I mean? When I run CodeBreakthrough across a million platforms it introduces many inefficiencies and limitations on what is possible. Leads slip through the crack and I'm not able to perform as good as I could. This has been a constant bother ON TOP of the hundreds of dollars spent every single month just to keep things on.

As a result I've been quietly building my own platform. I designed it first as a tool to solve MY problems, and that's how I know what I am building is valuable.

It's going to take me some time to migrate to this new platform. I've built courses with hundreds of videos, email sequences, many complex automations, etc... but I'm moving them all to my own platform and reducing the complexity x10.

I'm doing this in a purely additive approach first. Anything new I build is coming out on my own platform, and the migration will happen behind the scenes with almost no one noticing. You may notice now that I'm telling you, but the transition will be very seamless as the new platform is built with my exact needs designed natively in the platform. Pretty soon even these emails will be sent from there as well. Soooo the subject like isn't 100% accurate, we're ending things here, but moving to a new platform soon and I'll continue to share emails with you :)

Let me answer a few questions.

As a software engineer, why should I care about this?

Because I'm showing you exactly what it looks like to build your own product. This will become a bigger focus of mine in what I talk about with CodeBreakthrough, and I'll be able to share insights as a founder who is a software engineer first.

Not everyone wants to build a business. That's fine. But every software developer is building a product. Building a good one comes down to making the right choices and building what actually helps people.

What should I expect from Caleb?

2 big things here...

1 - On the CodeBreakthrough channel I'm going to talk about computer science and building SaaS. Nothing really new except some more behind the scenes of launching software products.

2 - I'm sharing my design choices and strategies from a business perspective on a DIFFERENT CHANNEL. I'm creating content NOT as some business/marketing get-rich-quick guru but as a software engineer first who designs his software intentionally to solve problems.

If you're a software dev you'd probably be best just staying with CodeBreakthrough content. I don't think you subscribing to the new channel and then not watching any of the content will help me but actually hurt me with the algorithm. Big google will be like "Oh, he got subscribers, but they don't watch his stuff. Let's not promote his content" if that makes sense.

So, with that all said, here is one of the videos I created on this new channel if you want to check it out:

How I Build Sales Funnels with Automated Sequences and Deadlines

What if I DO run an online business?

2 quick asks.

1 - Subscribe to the new channel above and watch my video describing my design choices.

2 - Please reach out (respond to this email). Let me hear about what you're building. I want to hear what problems you're having with other platforms or problems you're having with your business, marketing, or sales. Because I'm gonna fix that junk for real. I'm pretty tired of mediocre software and terrible support systems. just respond to this email and I'll get back.
