I was just telling my sister about that book you mentioned last week. I finally picked it up from the library and honestly I could not put it down. The way the author describes the coastline makes you feel like you are right there on the beach watching the waves come in and hearing the seagulls call overhead. I stayed up way too late reading it on a work night but it was totally worth it. I have always been more of a mystery reader but this was a nice change of pace and I really enjoyed the slower thoughtful pacing. Let me know if you have any other recommendations because my reading stack is getting low and I want to keep this momentum going. I also started that documentary series you recommended on streaming. Really fascinating stuff especially the episodes about the early explorers and their journeys across the oceans. The cinematography is stunning and the narration keeps you engaged throughout each episode. I am already halfway through the second season and learning so much.

We finally tried that new pizza place downtown and it was fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside just the way I like it. We got the one with mushrooms and truffle oil and it was packed with flavor. My partner got the spicy sausage one and was raving about it the whole way home. The place is pretty small so you might want to make a reservation on weekends especially if you are bringing a group of more than four. They have this really good lemonade too which I was not expecting from a pizza spot but it worked perfectly. We are definitely going back to try their pasta dishes because the table next to us ordered some and it looked incredible. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick even though they were busy. I think we found a new favorite spot for casual nights out when we do not want to cook.
