Dear Sangster families,
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our final event of the year. The Carnival was amazing and the weather was perfect. Thanks to all the volunteers for making it such a success.
This will be our last newsletter of the school year, but we are working on the details for all of our great events next year. Also, mark your calendars for the Popsicles on the Playground events over the summer!

New and old families — please join Sangster Admin and the PTA on the blacktop/playground area to kick off the new school year!
- Rising 1st and 2nd Graders = Monday, August 10, 7–8 p.m.
- Rising Kindergartners = Tuesday, August 11, 10–11 a.m. and/or 7–8 p.m. (For Kindergarten only, rain makeup date is Friday, August 14, 5–6 p.m.)
- Rising 3rd and 4th Graders = Wednesday, August 12, 7–8 p.m.
- Rising 5th and 6th Graders = Thursday, August 13, 7–8 p.m.
We are always looking for volunteers! Please take the time to complete the FCPS Volunteer Screening and fill out the Google Volunteer form so that we can add you to our email distribution list.
Sangster Administration has a need for library volunteers and cafe volunteers as well as occasional opportunities like picture day, field day, etc. Please complete the FCPS Volunteer screening to be considered for these events. Opportunities go out to the email list and also get posted to Facebook.

Sangster Parents Facebook Group
You are invited to join the unofficial Facebook group for the Sangster community, Sangster Parents. Please note that anyone who requests to join, including someone added by an existing group member, must answer the membership questions and check the box indicating agreement to abide by the group rules. If your membership has not been approved, this is likely why; check your Facebook messages (you may have to dig around for the section for messages from non-friends) for assistance from an admin. Please note that this group is not sponsored by the school or the PTA!
