Recycle Right with Arlington: It’s not waste if it’s in the right place!
Recycling in Arlington is simple when you know what goes where. Arlington’s new Recycle Right initiative is here to make it easier than ever to reduce waste and keep valuable materials out of the landfill.
Start with everyday items like paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans. Just remember three key steps:
- Keep recyclables empty, clean, and dry
- Leave out plastic bags
- Flatten cardboard boxes
Not sure about how to get rid of an item? Visit the County’s helpful ‘Where Does it Go?’ tool and type in the item’s name to see how to properly dispose of it.
You can also check out the Recycle Right initiative webpage for a full recycling guide to learn more and make sure you’re recycling right every time. Together, we can all make a difference.
