GFES is looking for volunteers for Field Day. It’s one of the students’ favorite days of the year, but we can’t do it without your help! Let Me Run
The Let Me Run boys completed their season on Saturday, May 16th, by participating in the Dash through the Dirt 5k! They did a great job and we are so proud of them! Thank you so much to Let Me Run coaches Heidi, Alyssa, and Lauren for all you did to make the spring season such a success!
Girls on the Run
The Girls on the Run team completed their season on Saturday, May 16th, by participating in the Girls on the Run 5k at Jiffy Lube Live! The girls did a great job and we are so proud of all of them! Thank you so much to the Girls on the Run coaches Lauren, Jen, Courtney, Laura, and Patricia for all your did to make the spring season so successful!

BEFORE SCHOOL Spanish Language
Program 2026-2027
NEW: 5-Day Program!
ChiCeLaCu, in partnership with the PTA, will be expanding the Spanish Before School Program to a full 5-day week for the upcoming school year.
How the Program Works
To provide more flexibility and immersion, we have structured the week into two parts:

Core Program (Mon/Wed/Fri): Our standard curriculum continues on these primary days.

Supplemental Module (Tue/Thu): This new addition is available exclusively to students enrolled in the 3-day core program.
What to Expect on Tuesdays & Thursdays
These additional sessions are designed to be a "relaxed immersion" experience. While the core days focus on our primary curriculum, the supplemental days will prioritize:
If you have already signed up for the program, it was a 3-day program by default. If you would like to extend it to 5-days, please email admin@chicelacu.com!
Classes will be held from 7:40 AM to 8:40 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays or Mondays through Fridays beginning on September 14th, 2026 and ending on May 5th, 2027. ChiCeLaCu! follows the FCPS calendar with respect to teacher workdays, holidays, and school cancellations.
