I think the best time to visit the park blv93oSuBSXMZ is actually early morning right when it opens. The trails are much quieter and you can often see deer grazing near the meadow. I went last Saturday around 7am and had the whole place pretty much to myself until about 9:30 when more families started arriving. The weather was perfect too with that cool breeze coming off the lake. If you want we could plan a trip for next weekend and bring a picnic lunch to eat by the pavilion. Just let me know what day works best for you and I will check the forecast. The wildflowers are really starting to bloom now which makes the whole hike even more enjoyable. I am definitely planning to go back again soon. The trail loop is about three miles and takes you past a small waterfall which is a nice spot to stop and take photos. We could also grab coffee at that little cafe near the entrance afterwards.

I finally tried that new pasta place downtown and it was much better than I expected. The homemade fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle oil was incredible and the portion sizes were generous enough that I took half home for lunch the next day. The service was a bit slow because they were packed but the waitstaff were really friendly about it. I would recommend making a reservation if you want to go on a weekend because there was a line out the door by 7pm. The tiramisu for dessert was also fantastic and not too sweet. We should definitely go together sometime soon. They also have a nice outdoor patio in the back that is heated so it works even when the weather cools down.
