Hey! I finally started that woodworking project I kept talking about. It's taking way longer than I expected, mostly because I keep making small measuring mistakes. Got the frame glued up last night though, which felt great. Need to pick up some different grits of sandpaper. I'm thinking of using a Danish oil finish instead of paint to let the grain show through. I'll send you a picture when it's done. Let me know how your weekend was. I ended up rearranging my entire garage to make space for the table saw. It was worth it though, having a proper outfeed table makes such a big difference. I still need to tune the fence alignment before I start cutting the panels. Hope everything is going well on your end!

Anyway, let me know what you think about the finish. I am also looking into getting a decent router set, but I am not sure which brand to go with. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I've been testing out a few new pasta recipes lately and found a really good one with roasted butternut squash and sage. The key is to roast the squash until it's nicely caramelized before blending it into the sauce. I used cashew cream instead of heavy cream and honestly couldn't tell the difference. Also added a pinch of nutmeg at the end which tied it all together. Let me know if you want the recipe link!

I'm thinking of trying a brown butter and mushroom version next week. I think a nice garlic bread on the side would complete it nicely. Let me know if you have any good recommendations for a good bottle of red wine to pair with it. I am always looking to try something new.
