Disabled VA workers lose remote accommodations despite doctors’ advice

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs employees who process benefit claims in St. Petersburg told the Times the agency is discriminating against them because of their disabilities.

Nearly 140 of them have filed complaints and are working with attorneys and union leaders to have their remote work restored.  Dozens more have quit.

The VA revoked the remote work accommodations following President Donald Trump's order for federal employees to return to the office.
