Welcome back to Inside Track!

The group stage of the World Cup has reached the fun part: calculators out, nerves frayed, and everyone still trying to work out how much goal difference matters.

Morocco face already-eliminated Haiti knowing victory alone may not be enough to finish above Brazil and top Group C, with my colleague Mark Gleeson looking at how the 2022 World Cup's surprise package are again looking to make a serious statement.

In Miami, Scotland have the small matter of facing Brazil. Win and they are through to the knockouts. Draw and they should still be through.

A loss, however, would leave the Tartan Army with an anxious wait to see where their team ends up in the table of third-placed sides.

Canada, meanwhile, can top Group B with a win or draw against Switzerland and reach the knockouts for the first time, though midfielder Ismael Kone's injury has cast a shadow over the co-hosts' tournament.

Scroll on too for Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo announcing himself at this World Cup — and German Jamie Leweling's promise involving Ronaldo (the Brazilian one!) and that infamous haircut.
