I think the garden workday on Saturday should work well. We have about ten volunteers confirmed so far. I checked the tool shed inventory and we have enough shovels, rakes, and gloves for everyone. The main tasks will be weeding the perennial beds, spreading fresh mulch along the pathways, and planting the new shrubs near the entrance. I also need to pick up a few bags of soil amendment from the supply store on Friday morning. If anyone has extra wheelbarrows or pruning shears, please bring them. We should plan to start around 8:00 AM and wrap up by early afternoon. I will send a reminder to the group on Thursday with the full list of what to bring. Let me know if you think we should adjust the schedule or if there is anything else we need to coordinate beforehand.

I looked into the trail options for this weekend and I think the Aspen Loop is the best choice. It is about six miles round trip with moderate elevation gain, so it should take us around four hours with breaks. The weather forecast looks clear and cool, which is ideal. I will bring extra water and snacks for the group. We should meet at the trailhead parking lot by 7:30 AM to get an early start. I also checked trail conditions and they are dry and well-marked. If anyone wants to carpool, we can coordinate that in the group chat. Let me know if that plan works for you or if you would rather try a different route. I am happy to adjust based on what everyone prefers.
