AROUND THE BAY (AND FLORIDA)

Little local leaders can do: Advocates say there could be unmarked graves on private land beside Martí-Colón Cemetery. Its owner purchased the property years ago with vows to protect it from development. Now, he plans to build houses there.

More than 1,000 injured: Tampa Bay advocates and community leaders launched a relief effort for families in Venezuela after two powerful earthquakes hit the country.

Corrective plan: The nonprofit responsible for giving victims of sexual assault rape kits in Pinellas County has been told it has 90 days to improve its services or risk being decertified. The measures follow a Times report in April that found sexual assault survivors in the county waited hours to get rape exams after Suncoast quietly stopped staffing graveyard shifts between midnight and 8 a.m.

Still on top of the world: Despite the monthlong political and social efforts to topple Ye's Tampa shows, the 49-year-old rapper made it to Raymond James Stadium. Here’s our review of the first night, plus photos of the fans who showed out for the rapper.

Illicit proceeds: Eleven people from Central Florida are facing federal health care fraud charges for false claims.

Found by a hotel employee: Detectives have arrested a man on a murder charge in connection with the killing of a 76-year-old woman who was found dead in a St. Pete-area hotel.

Double murder decades ago: DeSantis signed a death warrant for an 80-year-old who would be the oldest person to be put to death in the state.
