TOP OF THE AGENDA | Trump's final hope to change ruling fades |

Credit: Reuters | As it is customary, the Supreme Court has given no details about the refusal to hear Trump's appeal against a New York jury decision in a civil case brought by Carroll. The decision means Trump will now have to pay the $5m (£3.6m) in damages Carroll was awarded over her claim that Trump sexually assaulted her in the 1990s, and then branded the incident a hoax on social media in 2022. Trump denied the allegations and repeatedly said the judge who oversaw the civil trial had improperly allowed evidence to be presented that affected how the jury viewed him. Other court decisions released on Monday include blocking Trump's efforts to fire Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook and ruling that states may count postal ballots that arrive after election day, rejecting a Trump administration's challenge to a state law. |

| 'I see tourists pee in front of my house' | | Freedom and amazing sights are often cited as the top benefits of campervan travel. Credit: Getty Images | It's common to see campervans and motorhomes touring the Scottish Highlands every year - with many of them exploring the Isle of Skye. But the lack of facilities such as public toilets and waste disposal points are a big issue in parts of the island, with locals urging tourists to be more discreet when nature calls. |

| | Julia Dawber's home overlooks an expanse of scenic coastline, and she says as many as nine campervans can park up near the shore at any one time. "When I'm having dinner people are coming out and going for a pee - I can see it," she told BBC Alba's Eorpa programme. Julia added: "Some of the people are just choosing to be brazen and they're just doing it right by the road."
Photographer Danielle Stewart travels all over the Highlands in her campervan in her free time and for work. Skye is one her regular destinations. "It's freedom - you can wake up in beautiful places. That's the best thing for sure," she said on the benefits of owning a campervan. She said: "It's a very different van life in Europe though, because they have facilities." |
