Credit: EPA/Shutterstock | It was a win for Trump on Monday, with the Supreme Court ruling he and future presidents can fire "independent" regulators with whom they disagree. But, three other decisions it handed down "gave some indications that this particular president may not always get what he wants", writes North America correspondent Anthony Zurcher. One key takeaway is that the three liberal justices, all appointed by Democrats, may have found a few unexpected allies amongst their six conservative counterparts - much to Trump's dismay, Anthony notes. And the Supreme Court's rulings are final – "a point that was vividly illustrated for Trump, both to his joy and disappointment," Anthony says.
