| |  | Our new report found that The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is making good progress towards its devolution aims in England.
MHCLG has established 18 Mayoral Strategic Authorities so far, with some of these Authorities being eligible for central government funding through an Integrated Settlement. This funding can be spent more flexibly, to best suit local needs.
To ensure that the future scaling-up of English devolution goes smoothly, MHCLG needs to support local bodies and government to be able to take on these increased responsibilities. | | Read the report | |
