| | The disclosure shows Trump's crypto earnings far overshadow income from his real estate business, which first catapulted him to fame. Credit: Getty Images | Trump made more than $1bn (£750m) from business dealings in cryptocurrency last year, his latest financial disclosure states. The 927-page document reports that the president made $635m in royalties from the $Trump meme coin he launched before he took office, and more than $500m in income from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency firm founded by his sons and the children of his special envoy, Steve Witkoff. He also earned millions more from real estate and Trump-themed items such as Bibles, watches, fragrances and guitars. The White House has denied any conflict of interest. Earlier this year, Forbes magazine put the president's estimated fortune at $6bn, up from $2.3bn in 2024. |
