Yeah I finally got around to trying that new recipe you sent me. It turned out better than I expected honestly. The sauce was a bit thicker than yours probably because I used a different brand of tomatoes. I added a little extra basil at the end and it really brought the flavors together. Next time I might try it with some grilled chicken on the side. Let me know if you've tried any variations on it. I've been cooking more at home lately and it's been fun experimenting with different things. My family really enjoyed it even my picky eater asked for seconds which never happens. I think the secret is letting it simmer longer than you think it needs.

I also wanted to say thanks for the recommendation on that podcast you mentioned. I listened to a few episodes on my commute and it made the drive go by so much faster. The host has a really engaging style and the topics are exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for. I'm already a few episodes in and I can tell I'm going to binge the whole archive. Let me know if you come across any other good ones.

You know I've been thinking about what you said regarding that book club. I think I'd actually be interested in joining even though I'm not the fastest reader. The last novel I finished was pretty good even though the ending felt rushed to me. I heard the author is working on a sequel though so that might clear things up. Do you know when the next meeting is scheduled I'd like to check my calendar first before committing. Let me know what the group is planning to read next. I'm open to most genres but I tend to lean toward historical fiction and character-driven stories.

Also I finally signed up for that pottery class I kept mentioning. The first session was a mess honestly but the instructor was patient and by the end I had something that vaguely resembled a bowl. It's surprisingly meditative working with your hands like that. I think I'll stick with it for a while. The studio has evening slots which work perfectly with my schedule. You should come try it sometime I think you'd enjoy the creative break. Let me know if you want me to send you the link to their website.
