Yeah I think the trail you mentioned is definitely worth doing this weekend. We went last Saturday and the weather was perfect, not too humid and the path was mostly shaded which helped a lot. There is a great viewpoint about halfway up where you can see the whole valley below. We stopped there for water and just sat on a rock for a while taking it all in. The elevation gain is steady but nothing too intense, I would say it took us about two hours to reach the top with a few short breaks. We brought sandwiches and ate at the summit, there were a few other people but it was not crowded at all. The parking lot was about half full when we arrived around nine in the morning. Definitely bring good shoes though because there are some rocky sections near the top that can be tricky. The views at the top were absolutely worth the climb. I think you will really enjoy the hike this weekend. Let me know if you want any more details about the route or what to bring along.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out really well. I was a bit skeptical about the sauce at first because it seemed too simple but the flavors came together nicely. I added some roasted cherry tomatoes on the side which gave it a nice sweetness. The key was letting the garlic cook slowly in the olive oil before adding anything else, that really mellowed out the flavor. I used fresh basil from the garden which made a big difference. Next time I might try adding some lemon zest for brightness. The whole thing came together in about thirty minutes which was perfect for a weeknight. We had it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. My partner asked me to make it again next week so I think it was a hit. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I would not have thought to try it otherwise and it is definitely going into our regular rotation now.
