Here’s a feel-good story for your Monday: assholes aren’t being allowed to act like assholes in private clubs anymore. Or at least not at a certain few clubs, according to VF’s Hannah Seligson, who reports that members-only societies round the world are cracking down on bad behavior, from the tone and tenor of the way you complain to more audacious acts, like, apparently, stuffing staff members in lockers “as a joke.” (Forced to continue existing in the real world, these people will continue to show up, and show their asses, at airports and fine cocktail establishment near you. Alas.)
Meanwhile, Hannah Giorgis Yohannes has an interview with Sam Reid, the actor who is the latest man to play Ann Rice's beloved vampire Lestat. “There was a level at which I could be more chaotic, less controlled, and less of this sort of archetypal, seductive vampire figure, and more messy,” Reid tells Yohannes.
