The deadline to submit your application for the Faculty Loan Repayment Program (FLRP) is Tuesday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Before you submit your application, confirm that your employing institution has completed and provided all required supporting documentation, including:
- Institution Employment/Loan Repayment Verification Form
- Employment letter or contract showing an employment period that extends through July 21, 2028
- Letter confirming the amount of matching loan repayment funds or a waiver request

Q. Which documentation is my employer required to provide? A. Your employing institution must provide an official letter on institutional letterhead confirming that you will be employed as faculty (full-time or part-time, as defined by your employing school) for a minimum of two years.
- If your institution will provide matching loan repayment funds, it must provide an official letter on institutional letterhead stating the amount of the match.
- If your institution is unable to provide matching funds, it must provide an official letter requesting a waiver and include supporting documentation demonstrating its financial hardship.
Q. My employment contract is for only one year. What should I do? A. If your employing institution does not issue two‑year appointments, it may provide an official letter on institutional letterhead confirming its intent to employ you for at least two years (e.g., July 21, 2026, through July 21, 2028). Upload this letter as a supporting document with your application.
