Here's your permission slip.
Taking care of yourself isn't a betrayal of the people who depend on you.
I know that's how it feels sometimes. If you're the guy who puts out every fire, answers every email, shows up for every favor - spending time and energy on yourself feels like stealing it from someone else.
So you don't.
You skip the workout because work was crazy. You say yes to another episode because your partner asked. You have the wings and the beer because your friends invited you and you don't want to be that guy.
And somewhere in all those yeses, you say no to everything you need.
But being depleted doesn't make you better for anyone. It just means everyone gets the leftover version of you at the end of the day.
The best partner, the best guy in the business, the best friend, isn't the guy with nothing left in the tank. It's the guy who took care of himself first so he actually has something to give.
That's the permission slip. Not "be selfish." Just "pay yourself first for once."
I go deeper on this in this week's video, plus two other habits that make this actually stick.
If this resonated, watch it here → link
Have an awesome Sunday.
