Simcenter SPEED capabilities in Simcenter E Machine Design 2026

For many years, Simcenter SPEED (formerly Infolytica Software) and Simcenter Motorsolve were developed as two complementary solutions for electric machine design. While SPEED provided rapid analytical machine design and performance prediction, Motorsolve focused on detailed electromagnetic analysis and virtual prototyping.

Today, these technologies are being brought together in Simcenter E-Machine Design - a unified environment that combines the strengths of both solutions while providing a more streamlined and connected workflow for electric machine development.

In this video, you'll discover how Simcenter SPEED capabilities have been integrated into

Simcenter E-Machine Design software.

Whether you're an existing Simcenter SPEED user or exploring Simcenter E-Machine Design for the first time, this video demonstrates how two powerful tools that were traditionally used side by side have now been brought together into a single environment, combining their key capabilities to simplify and streamline the electric machine design workflow.

Simcenter MAGNET: Bringing Accuracy and Efficiency to Electromagnetic Design

Designing electric motors, transformers, actuators, sensors, and other electromagnetic devices requires accurate simulation to achieve the right balance between performance, efficiency, and cost. Physical prototyping alone can be both time-consuming and expensive, making simulation an essential part of the modern design process.

Simcenter MAGNET (previously Infolytica software) provides powerful 2D and 3D finite element analysis (FEA) for electric machines, transformers, actuators, sensors, and other low-frequency electromagnetic devices. Engineers can accurately predict magnetic fields, forces, torque, inductance, losses, and other key performance parameters before a physical prototype is built. This enables design teams to evaluate multiple design concepts, optimise product performance, reduce development time, and minimise costly design iterations.

Whether you're developing electric machines, transformers, actuators, magnetic sensors, or other electromagnetic components, Simcenter MAGNET helps streamline the design process while improving confidence in engineering decisions.

We’d also like to highlight that we’ve expanded our portfolio with

HEEDS and CAD (NX & Solid Edge) — enabling a fully connected workflow

with Simcenter MAGNET at its core.

Design, simulate, and optimise faster — all in one environment.

Infologic Design - From Design to Production

Infologic Design have been providing electromagnetic design software since 1978 (when it was named Infolytica Ltd), but as well as providing the software (now part of Simcenter from Siemens), we also offer a full Consultancy Facility. This ranges from running analyses as specified by the customer to full design optimisation to create the best design that meets the customer's requirements, for devices ranging from electric motors to large-scale transformers.

In addition, we can manufactu
