This message is for users of the PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production environment.

Please be advised that the CMS PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production (PROD) environment will not be available from 08:00 AM EST to 12:00 PM EST on Saturday, 08/01/2026, due to the R7.58.0.2 code deployment.

The following PI enhancements are included in this release:

• The PECOS Provider Interface application has been modernized to remove security and support risks associated with its outdated technology stack. The legacy Apache Struts 1.x framework, which reached end-of-life in 2013, has been replaced with Spring MVC 5.3. The runtime has been upgraded from Java 8 to Java 17 (LTS), eliminating the risks tied to aging Java support. Additionally, the application server has been updated to JBoss EAP 7.4 running on RHEL 8. These upgrades provide a secure, industry standard foundation for future enhancements and long-term maintainability.
• Updates to 855B form to prompt required message when the "Electronic Storage Address" information is missing in the COI workflow.
• Updates to 855B form to prompt required message when the "Telephone number" is missing for the Authorized Official in the COI workflow.
• ⁠Updates to 855B form to prompt required message when the "Serial Number" for IDTF Equipment and CPT-4/HCPCS Codes is missing in the COI workflow.
