ISSUE: Henkel Corporation (“Henkel”) is recalling its Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip 6.76 fl. oz / 200 mL sold in the United States due to a potential packaging issue in which product could leak from the package under pressure, which creates a risk of explosion.
It was distributed in the United States through 21 distributors in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington. It was also sold to hair professionals and consumers at the retail level. No other Henkel products are subject to this recall, and Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip 6.76 fl. oz / 200 mL with codes not included in the recall are safe to use.
Henkel learned about this situation through one customer complaint and two salon reports. Bruising on the hand was reported by the customer and no other injuries were identified.
