  • A wildfire that roared to life in the Interior Alaska community of Tok has damaged or destroyed at least 20 structures, officials say. Scores of people evacuated their properties as the fire’s growth exploded.

  • Classes will look a little different when Anchorage School District students return this week. Budget cuts made in the spring will increase the number of students in each classroom, among other changes.
