Annandale Students, Parents and Community:
We are excited to welcome students and families to Annandale tomorrow, Thursday, August 20, for our Freshmen & New Student Orientation and Open House! With the first day of school just a few days away, tomorrow is a great opportunity for students to meet their teachers, walk their schedules, get comfortable in the building, and reconnect with friends and staff. We hope all of our students and families will join us as we get ready for a great start to the school year.
Freshmen & New Student Orientation will begin at 1:30pm. The event will include:

Annandale Welcome & Pep Rally: Students and families will meet in the gym and be welcomed to Annandale with performances by our band and cheerleaders. Students and families will meet our administration team, counselors, and student leaders, and students will also receive their schedules.

Scavenger Hunt: After receiving their schedules, students will have the opportunity to explore Annandale and find important places throughout the building.

Parent Information Session: While students explore the school, families can visit tables in the cafeteria and Clausen Hall to get important information about Annandale and the resources available to support our students.
Open House will be held from 3:00-4:00pm and will provide all students an opportunity to walk through our halls and find their classes before the first day of school. There is no formal program during this time. It is an informal opportunity to get reacquainted with our school and prepare for a great start to the year.
Student schedules will be available tomorrow at 6:00am in SIS StudentVUE and ParentVUE. For more information about obtaining a ParentVue account, please click here to access support on the FCPS website.
Finally, help us welcome our teachers back in style! The PTSA Welcome Back Breakfast will also be held tomorrow. Whether you can volunteer your time, donate breakfast items, or make a financial contribution, your support will help us show our appreciation for our amazing staff and give them a warm start to the new school year.
