SSPA 2025-IV-2RH: On June 10, 2025, the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Plan amendment for Tax Map Parcels 100-1 ((1)) 9C, 9D, 9E, 9F,9G, and 9H (7920 Heneska Loop) in the Franconia Supervisor District. The property is located in the RH4 Lehigh Community Planning Sector of the Rose Hill Planning District and the S-6 Newington Planning Sector of the Springfield Planning District. The subject property is currently planned for office mixed-use up to 0.30 FAR. The amendment considers an option for residential mixed-use up to 0.42 FAR, to include approximately 280 multifamily units. Specific considerations include amenities, pedestrian and bicyclist circulation, and open space and recreation to serve new residents, integrating new uses within the existing shopping center, and coordination with Fort Belvoir. 2026-III-UP2: On May 5, 2026, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors authorized Plan amendment PA 2026-III-UP2 for Tax Map Parcels 17-2 ((14)) (01) 2G and 17-2 ((16)) 1A. The site is located at 1513 and 1531 Cameron Crescent Drive, within Land Unit D of the Lake Anne Village Center, in the Hunter Mill Supervisor District. The adopted Comprehensive Plan recommends high and medium density residential uses for this Land Unit. The redevelopment option for these two parcels, without consolidation, permits up to 750 multifamily dwelling units and 2,000 square feet of non-residential uses. This Plan amendment considers an increase in non-residential uses from 2,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet, anticipated for public facility use. (Direct link to staff report).

2013-CW-5CP: Public Facilities Plan Map, Countywide - On July 9, 2013, the Board authorized consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment (2013-CW-5CP) to update existing and planned parcels designated for Public Facilities, Governmental, and Institutional uses on the existing Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map. Limited revisions to the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map are proposed to update parcels that have transitioned to public facility uses. The proposed redesignations primarily focus on parcels owned by Fairfax County or other public entities where a Public Facilities designation would more accurately reflect the current use of the property. 2020-CW-1CP: Phase II: Public Facilities Plan Amendment, Countywide - On July 14, 2020, the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment (2020-CW-1CP) to update the Public Facilities Element of the Policy Plan (PFEPP) and related Area Plans, including an evaluation of how those updates align with the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). On May 7, 2024, the Board adopted Phase I, which comprehensively updated the objectives and policies contained within the Public Facilities Element of the Policy Plan (PFEPP). Phase II of the Public Facilities Plan amendment includes two components: limited updates to objectives and policies within the PFEPP; and comprehensive updates to public facilities references within the Comprehensive Plan Area Plans, including the establishment of a countywide GIS-based Public Facilities Map.
