August 19th Family Newsletter

Dear Families,

We can’t believe it—the first day of school is just a few days away! We are so excited to welcome our UMES Bears and their families back for another wonderful school year.

We hope you’ll join us for Open House this Friday, August 21, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity for students to meet their teacher, visit their classroom, and reconnect with friends before the first day of school. Please be sure to review the information below about alternate entrances to use during Open House. Using these entrances will help us cut down on crowding at the front doors and make arrival smoother for everyone.

Our teachers have been very busy this week preparing to welcome our Bears! They’ve been attending professional development, setting up and organizing classrooms, collaborating with colleagues, and planning engaging learning experiences for the first few weeks of school. The building is buzzing with excitement, and we can’t wait to have our students back in the halls!
