Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Kindergarten Playdate! Despite the hot weather, it was wonderful to see so many families come out, connect, and have fun together. We’re so glad you could join us!
We also had the pleasure of welcoming our staff back this week with a delicious breakfast provided by the PTA. It was a wonderful way to show our appreciation for all that our teachers and staff do for our school community.
Our Open House is tomorrow, and we are so excited to open our doors to our new and returning students and families! We can’t wait to see everyone and kick off another wonderful school year together.
While you’re at Open House, don’t forget to stop by the PTA table! Come say hello, meet some of your PTA board members, and learn more about how you can get involved throughout the year.

Hi Bailey’s Tigers!
Happy Sunday! We are officially just over a week away from the start of the school year on Monday, August 24, and the excitement is truly building!
Our staff returns tomorrow for our official kickoff week! We will be focusing on our key priorities for the school year to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and successful start for every single Tiger.
It was so wonderful to see so many of our rising Kindergarten and new-to-Bailey's families at the PTA playdate yesterday evening! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing such a fun event to help our newest students build connections before the school year begins.
We are also so excited for our Open House this week on Thursday, August 20, from 1:00–3:00 PM. This will be a fantastic time for you and your child to explore the school, see their classroom, and meet their new teacher in person!
Families are also encouraged to watch Bailey’s Primary’s Welcome Back videos for important information about August dates, transportation, class placements, Open House, and the first day of school.

This past week, we welcomed our new teachers to campus and celebrated them joining the very best school in FCPS!
This coming week, we are excited to welcome all of our teachers back—and to see you (our families) on Thursday at Open House! We can’t wait for you to see the building and experience the few surprises we have in store.
Please be on the lookout in both your mailbox and your email for an important letter that includes information such as class placements.

To help provide a smooth experience for all families, please arrive during your assigned time based on your student's last name:
A–E: 1:00–1:30 PM
F–K: 1:30–2:00 PM
L–Q: 2:00–2:30 PM
R–Z: 2:30–3:00 PM
If you're unable to attend during your assigned time, you're still welcome to join us anytime between 1:00–3:00 PM.

For Rising 3rd–5th Grade Students
Parents will receive their child's classroom placement by email the week of August 17th. Be sure to check your inbox for your student's teacher assignment before Open House.
Staggered Arrival Times
To help provide a smooth experience for everyone, please arrive during your assigned time based on your student's LAST NAME:
A–H: 9:00am
I–P: 9:30am
Q–Z: 10:00am
If you're unable to attend during your assigned time, you're still welcome to join us anytime between 9:00–11:00 AM.
Bus Transportation Available
A shuttle bus will be available from Bailey's Primary to Bailey's Upper.
Pick-Up Location: Bailey's Primary
Pick-Up Times: 8:40 AM, 9:25 AM, and 9:45 AM
