“Revo Scan 6 for the POP 4: 3DGS generation.I scanned a small ceramic owl decoration measuring 91x87x89 mm. I specifically chose this subject because of its very irregular surface, organic shapes, layered details, and textured painted finish. I have to admit that the result genuinely surprised me.What I found particularly interesting is how differently the object is perceived depending on the processing method. The raw point cloud already contains an impressive amount of information, but once processed into texture and especially into 3DGS, the model takes on a much more natural and realistic appearance, especially in the way colors, depth, and surface transitions are reproduced. The ceramic texture, darker painted areas, small imperfections, and layered feather details are reproduced in a very convincing way.” — @Daniele Pulimeno
