Azzurri triumph: welcome back to BGY!

A triumphant return to BGY for the Italian athletes who starred at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Waiting for them at the airport were friends, family and supporters, as well as gold medallists Nadia Battocletti, Sofia Fiorini and Luca Sito, silver medallist Alexandrina Mihai, and 200-metre finalist Filippo Dezza.

On 7 August 2026, the Dublin experience came to an end for the participants in the scholarships promoted by BGY and BGY International Services, dedicated to employees' children and students involved in PCTO work-experience programmes, in collaboration with Fondazione Intercultura.

At the end of the programme, the students had the opportunity to visit Ryanair's Headquarters, gaining first-hand insight into the airline through a presentation of the Graduate Programme, a visit to the Operations Control Centre and a flight simulator experience. A special thank you to Ryanair for hosting the students and to Fondazione Intercultura for helping make this experience an important opportunity for personal growth and career guidance.
