Yeah, I tried the new spot on the corner near the old bookstore. The patio looked nice in the photos but the chairs were a little wobbly for the whole group. We ended up moving inside after the first round because the wind picked up. Honestly the inside is way better anyway, more room to talk and the lighting was softer. I think next time we should just meet at the usual place and stop trying to be so adventurous every single week. Sometimes you just want the same corner booth and the same friendly person bringing you water. It's not boring, it's reliable. And they always let us stay late which is rare. Did you ever get a chance to watch that documentary about the mushroom forests? I keep meaning to but my queue is out of control. Maybe this weekend I'll just pick something random and not overthink it. We should do a movie night soon, just something easy with popcorn and no phones. I'm free Friday if you are. Anyway, let me know what works for your schedule and have a great afternoon.

The local library finally got the second book in that series I was waiting for. I put a hold on it last month and forgot all about it, so when the notification came in it felt like a little surprise. I walked over after lunch and the place was quiet, just a few people by the big windows. I ended up staying longer than I planned, flipping through a stack of travel guides for no real reason. There was one about small coastal towns that made me want to take a detour this summer, maybe just a day trip with a cooler and some music. No set schedule, just drive and stop wherever looks interesting. I think we should plan something like that before the season gets too busy. Let me know if you're up for it.
