Sure has been hot and sweaty lately. Especially at the ballpark, where fights keep breaking out in the stands. The editorial board wonders about the recent vibes at Wrigley Field.

A second editorial is far more serious and considers the tragic case of Lindsay Clancy, the Boston-area mother accused of murdering her three small children who's become a symbol for many mothers around the country. The board will be interested in readers' reaction to this one.

A former staffer for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign has some pointed words of advice for Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for U.S.Senate in Michigan, when it comes to the issue of his relationship with controversial streamer Hasan Piker.

John Greenfield, ardent local advocate for bike lanes and transit, is most definitely not patting U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on the back for recent federal decisions to invest in Amtrak in the Midwest.

And Paul Vallas, former head of Chicago Public Schools, thinks Chicago is missing the boat by failing to incorporate artificial intelligence in the education of its public school students.
