9/4/2026 - Splunk Prod - Increase Indexer Instances for OE27
Summary:
The CMS Cloud team will scale up Splunk indexers infrastructure as part of Open Enrollment (OE) readiness based on this year's game day exercise. This change is scheduled for Friday, 9/4/2026 at 9:00 PM.
Actions we are taking:
- Upscaling Splunk indexers using IAC
- Splunk and ITSI will be placed in maintenance mode
When is this happening?
Start Time: Friday, 9/4/2026 at 9:00 pm ET
End Time: Monday, 9/7/2026 at 6:00 am ET
Who will be impacted?
DRaaS ITSI, MITG MSI and EMM may have performance impacts when the Cloud Splunk indexers are being configured. Also, CCIC search heads peered to the Splunk environment might be impacted.
What is the impact?
There will be latency in ad hoc searches that are performed by customers. Dashboards might also render slowly and have incomplete data while the changes are being propagated.
9/4/2026 - Enterprise GitHub Support on CMS Cloud Support Project
Summary:
Enterprise Agile Tools team will enhance the CLDSPT Jira project to support GitHub-related service offerings, providing a centralized and standardized process for requesting GitHub services.
Actions we are taking:
- Enhancing the CLDSPT Jira project with GitHub Services capabilities, enabling repository creation requests and routing them to the DevOps team for processing.
When is this happening?
Start Time: Friday, 9/4/2026 at 4:00 p.m. ET
End Time: Friday, 9/4/2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET
Who will be impacted?
All Enterprise GitHub Users.
What is the impact?
The CLDSPT project will become the primary platform for submitting, tracking, and fulfilling GitHub Services requests.
