And at Maker Faire Bay Area, we take playing very seriously.

Maker Faire isn't just robots and rockets — it's also home to some of the strangest, silliest, most joyful games you'll ever play with your own hands. This year on Mare Island, get ready for...

Ankle Chomper — You're a feral kid. Your mission: chomp ankles. Weave through a forest of towering legs, bite a silicone foot controller in real life, and dodge stompers on a DDR pad.

Motion Simulator Built by OSH Cut — Climb in and pilot an RC rock crawler across a recreated landscape while the rig feeds you real-time motion synced to every bump and tilt.

World's Largest Game Boy — A fully playable, pixel-accurate Game Boy Color that stands roughly 10 feet tall. Beating a level might take teamwork, and yes, there's a pocket-sized version too.

Udder Mayhem — Part rhythm game, part barista challenge, part... cow? Pull espresso shots by squeezing four silicone udders in time to the beat. It started as a grad school project and, thankfully, got completely out of hand.

Pop It! — Four players. Flashing LEDs. Buttons, valves, pumps, balloons. Race your friends to see who can make their balloon POP first.

Wizard Academy — Grab a wand and take on a series of magical challenges to earn your official certification. All ages and skill levels welcome.

The Big Steel Battalion Box MkII — Climb into a fully loaded mech cockpit and pilot a giant stompy robot. No gaming experience required.

Stephen Ng's Games — LEXACUBE, a word game built for Burning Man, and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, a rhythm game for up to 20 people at once.

And many more!

This is what 20 years of Maker Faire is all about: building weird things, trying something new, and having a ridiculously good time doing it.
