This week we had a closer look at the so-called hyper-scale data centre pitched for a cattle feedlot just outside Dalby.
The project would be so energy hungry that it would add to Queensland's current daily electricity use by a quarter at its peak load.
While the proposal for the data centre was submitted during a national debate about how to regulate the rise of artificial intelligence technology, experts say that any failures to manage energy infrastructure could come at a cost to consumers.
In brighter news, Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers is almost here. We've been previewing the event all month at ABC Southern Queensland with the event officially kicking off on Friday.
Until next week,
