A few weeks ago I introduced UX Standards and Principles: Interface Design for Human Perception and Cognition — available as a book, a video course, or both together as a bundle. Since then I’ve been building extra material to make it more useful once you’re actually applying it to your own work, and it’s ready now.
The book now includes five new bonuses:
Self-Audit Checklist — a one-page checklist covering all six chapters, so you can run any screen you’re designing through the same standards the book teaches, without re-reading a chapter to remember them.
Critique Exercise — a realistic (but flawed) interface, six guided questions, and a full walkthrough explaining what’s wrong and how to fix it. A chance to practice the standards yourself before checking your answers against mine.
Decision Guides — five quick-reference flowcharts for the judgment calls that come up most often, the ones where the “right” answer genuinely depends on context.
Reference Card — every term from the book (signifier, affordance, spatial beauty, saccade, and more), organized by chapter on a single page, so you can look one up in seconds instead of hunting back through a chapter.
Wallpaper — a phone and desktop wallpaper with all six principles, so they stay in view even when the book isn’t open.
The course now includes four new bonuses:
Bonus Examples — a video walking through additional before-and-after examples for every concept in every chapter, in situations the book doesn’t cover. If the original examples made sense but you want to see the same standard proven on a completely different screen, this is that.
Figma File — the actual design files behind every example in the Bonus Examples video, both the “before” and “after” versions. Open them up, inspect the real spacing and contrast values, or duplicate a frame and try your own redesign before comparing it to mine.
Companion Notes — a fill-in-the-blank worksheet for every chapter’s video, with reflection questions on each demo, and space to note where the standard applies to your own current project.
Certificate of Achievement — complete the Companion Notes for all six chapters, or pass the chapter quizzes, and you’ll receive a certificate confirming you finished the course, ready to share or add to a portfolio.
The course also includes the full ebook and all five of its bonuses above — you're not choosing between the book's material and the course's, the course contains everything.
Everything above is included at no extra cost — it’s not a new tier, just more material added to what you’d already get with the book or the course.
Pricing is unchanged:

If you picked this up already, the book and course have been updated in place — no need to buy anything again. If you’ve been on the fence, this is the best version of the material to start with.
