to be the new secretary-general, who will take office at the start of next year.
▸ On Wednesday, Indonesia’s central bank holds its first monetary-policy meeting with its new governor. Destry Damayanti will hope for a better relationship with the government than that of her predecessor, who resigned in July over a disagreement with the finance minister about growth strategies. Concerns about Indonesia’s
deficit
have spooked foreign investors this year.
