A Message from the Principal

idp

Dear Belle View Families,

I have some fantastic news to share regarding Belle View’s VDOE status and accreditation!

Last winter, our school was categorized as needing Targeted Supports and Interventions (TSI). Through this designation, we gained access to high-impact math tutors, federal grant funding, and specialized support from the Office of School Support. Thanks to the hard work of our students, staff, and community, we have officially exited TSI status!

Over the past two years, Belle View has shown steady growth—rising from 80.1% to 85.5% under Virginia’s School Performance and Support Framework (SPSF), which measures academic achievement, growth, student readiness, and attendance.

We have so much to celebrate! This progress is a direct result of our teachers delivering the Benchmark reading curriculum with fidelity, maximizing math instructional time, and collaborating closely with our Multilingual Learner teachers and support staff.

You will receive a more detailed letter with our updated SPSF results and what we are doing to continue to make growth and progress.

A few quick reminders for the week ahead:

-No School Monday for Students: Students return on Tuesday; Monday is a federal holiday, but FCPS has a staff development day.

-Fun Run Sign-Ups: If you haven’t already, please sign your student up for the Fun Run (link below). We are getting so close to our goal, and the big event is this coming Thursday!

I look forward to seeing you around the View!
