Picture of the Week

Our 3rd-4th grade students enjoyed a visit from two authors, Katherine Applegate and Gennifer Choldenko, who cowrite the Dogtown series.  Students learned more about the authors' writing process and what inspired them to become writers.

Students also had the opportunity to meet the authors and get their books signed.

Important Deadline: Full-Time AAP Referrals for New FCPS Students

wednesday

Wednesday, October 21 will be a 3-Hour Early Release Wednesday and students at Willow Springs will be dismissed at 1:00 PM.

We encourage all parents/caregivers to have their student take their normal route home (bus, walk, kiss and ride) on early dismissal days. Where necessary, we will ensure that every student has supervised activities at the school and returns home at the regular time if that is what works best for your family.

Please let us know what your plans are for your child on the 3 Hour Early Release Wednesday so that we can make the necessary plans to ensure all students go where they need to go and remain safe.

If you have already submitted information on your family’s plan for this day, please disregard this message.

If you have been unable to submit your plans, please follow the written instructions below. These have been UPDATED and everything should work for everyone now. Please complete this information by 9 PM on Monday, October 12.
