Dear Hunt Valley Families,

Thank you so much for your incredible support during our PTA sponsored Fall Festival! It was a fantastic evening filled with fun for everyone, and the crowd favorite was definitely the "Pie in the Face" event!

Our students and teachers have been working exceptionally hard every single day as we head toward the finish line of Quarter 1. We are so proud of their focus, growth, and determination, and we look forward to finishing these final weeks of the quarter strong!

As we look ahead through the rest of October, please mark your calendars for these upcoming events:

• Second AAP Night: Thursday, October 29th
• Trunk or Treat: Friday, October 30th

WSHS Boys Lacrosse Fall Clinic

West Springfield High School Boys Lacrosse is hosting a youth skills clinic for students in grades K–8 on Monday, October 12 from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM at the WSHS stadium turf. All skill levels are welcome to learn the game, sharpen their skills, and train with WSHS coaches and players; registration is $75.

Participants should bring a water bottle, snack, and lacrosse stick if they have one.

Single Day Camp

Camp hours are 8:00AM - 4:00PM
For students ages 6 - 12. This full day camp is a fun filled day learning piano, ukulele, musical theater on select dates, and art! Ideal for currently enrolled families and those interested in learning a new instrument or anyone looking to have a great day. Camp will feature music-based activities. Students will also learn ukulele basics and enjoy time for arts and crafts. Students should arrive with lunch for lunch break time.

Parent Night

Join us for Parent Night on Thursday, October 22 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Hunt Valley cafeteria. Families will hear important updates from Principal Johnson and learn about digital citizenship, online safety, and helpful resources with Mrs. Webster. Please use the QR code on the flyer to register for school aged childcare.

WSHS Trunk or Treat & Screen on the Green

The West Springfield SGA is inviting you to the Trunk or Treat and Screen on the Green on October 24th from 5-7pm, hosted in the lower lot of West Springfield High School! This is a community event open to all ages where children can trick or treat in a controlled environment: going from trunk-to-trunk instead of door-to-door. Many West Springfield communities will be involved, including local clubs, businesses, and food trucks. We will also be hosting Screen on the Green directly after Trunk or Treat, from 7-8pm. It will be a showing of a kids friendly Halloween short on the turf field. These events will be a lot of fun, and we hope to see you there!

Picture Retake Day

Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, October 28 at Hunt Valley! Students who missed Picture Day or would like a new photo will have the opportunity to have their picture taken by Strawbridge Studios.
