Are you in New York? Science Times is putting on an event.

Now more than ever, The New York Times is the place to learn about the world of science. This fall, the Science department is revamping its coverage — with new beats and columns, a redesigned Science Times newsletter and much, much more.

In honor of that relaunch, on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 28, Science Times will be at the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for a free event called “The Future of Discovery: Science Times at the Museum.”

It will feature panels about the past, present and future of space exploration and the recent revolutions in cancer treatment, as well as some surprising questions about dinosaurs you’ve probably never pondered.

Guests will include Jeremy Hansen, one of the Artemis II astronauts; Neil deGrasse Tyson and Roger Benson from the museum; and Carl Zimmer and Victoria Jaggard from The Times’s Science desk. You’ll also hear from Sean Decatur, the museum’s president, as well as from Bill Wasik, The Times’s new science editor.

Join us! Click here to learn more and R.S.V.P. on the museum’s site.
